This notice explains what personal information ShellMark Construction (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].
Who we are

What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the subject and your message.
- Quote request form: your name, email address, phone number, company (if any), project location and details, budget and timing (if you give them), and any plans or photos you attach.
- Live chat: the messages you send and any name or email address you give. The chat stores a session reference in your browser so your conversation continues if you come back.
- Technical information: your IP address is checked briefly when you send a form, to stop automated spam. It is held in memory for about a minute and is not stored with your enquiry.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To arrange site visits and carry out work you ask us to do.
- To keep records of enquiries and projects for our business.
We will not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run this website and reply to you: our email provider (which delivers form submissions to us) and our live chat provider. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies. The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when it loads.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep our business records, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email info@shellmark.co.zw and we will respond as soon as we can. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority (POTRAZ).
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date above.
