Grain storage built to protect your harvest.
We build and install steel grain storage for farms, co-operatives, millers, feedlots and poultry producers across Zimbabwe, from a feed bin beside a poultry house to a group of silos for a commercial harvest. We prepare the site and foundations, erect the structure with our own team and hand it over ready to fill.
What we build:
- Flat-bottom silos: corrugated galvanised steel silos on a concrete base, for bulk storage of maize, wheat, soya and other grains.
- Hopper (cone-bottom) silos: raised silos that empty by gravity, suited to feed mills and frequent loading.
- Grain dams: corrugated steel rings with a PVC liner and cover, a cost-effective option for seasonal storage.
- Feed bins: smaller hopper bins for poultry, pig and dairy units, filled from a truck and feeding straight into the house.
Typical uses:
- Storing maize, wheat, soya and sorghum after harvest
- Feed storage for poultry, pig and dairy units
- Grain reserves for millers, co-operatives and aggregators
How we build your storage:
- Site visit and sizing. We confirm the crop, the capacity you need, how you will load and unload, and access for trucks.
- Foundations. A concrete slab or ring foundation designed to carry the full weight of the stored grain.
- Erection. Wall sheets are bolted together ring by ring and the roof fitted, using a crane where needed.
- Fittings. Ladders, inspection hatches, roof vents and outlets, plus liners and covers for grain dams.
- Handover. We check the structure and hand it over ready for harvest.
Handling equipment:
We can arrange augers, conveyors, bucket elevators and intake hoppers to suit how you fill and empty your storage. Ask us when you request a quote.
Why steel grain storage?
- Keeps grain dry and protected from weather, rodents and birds
- Cuts post-harvest losses compared with bags or open storage
- Modular, so you can add capacity as your harvest grows
- Lasts many seasons with basic maintenance
